Rhopoint ID
The Rhopoint ID is an instrument to measure what the eye can see. It quantifies the see-through qualities of materials in a method that can be matched to real world conditions with results highly correlated to customer perception. It also measures small sample sizes that cannot be measured with a traditional haze meter.
The unique Rhopoint ID method fully characterises the transparency of a material in a single measurement (Haze, transmission, clarity, sharpness)
ID measurements can be used to quantify the see-through quality of any transparent material: plastic films, plastic sheets, liquids, glass, PET bottles and more..
Optimap
The new Optimap™ marks a revolution in the control of surface quality. Subjective visual assessment has been replaced with reliable, representative measurement. The Optimap™ is the first portable instrument to map and measure surface texture
Surface texture is used to quantify visible faults such as orange peel, waviness and DOI problems. It can also be used to identify local faults such as inclusions, pinholes, runs, sags, blisters etc. In a single fast operation the Optimap™ maps the topography of a test surface displaying faults and texture in incredible detail. Mapped information is processed into objective surface measurements that can be used to effectively control product quality.

Rhopoint IQ
The Rhopoint IQ Gloss Haze & DOI Meter quantifies surface quality problems that are invisible to a standard glossmeter and profiles how light is reflected from a surface. In a single button push, it measures 20/60/85° GLOSS • HAZE• REFLECTED IMAGE QUALITY (RIQ) • DISTINCTNESS OF IMAGE (DOI) • RSPEC:
The instrument features a full colour easy-to-read screen and a 6 button touch sensitive interface for operation. Full statistics and trend graphs are available on-screen. Software-free data transfer via USB to PC allows for the quick transfer of files using Windows Explorer. Alternatively, measurements made can be transmitted directly into MS Excel via bluetooth.
This fully-featured product is ideally suited to all high gloss applications where orange peel and haze affect the overall visual appearance of a surface, i.e. Automotive, high gloss consumer electronics, white goods, polished concrete.

IQ Flex 20
The Rhopoint IQ Flex 20 offers gloss (20 degree), haze and distinctness of image measurement utilising a small size remote-head designed specifically to measure small areas or surfaces with curvature.
Optional reduced spot-size adaptors are available to reduce the measurement spot from 6mm x 6.4mm ellipse down to 4mm or 2mm. Bespoke 3D printed adaptor jigs for repeatable control of curved surfaces

Flex 60
The Rhopoint Novo-Gloss Flex 60 gloss meter has been designed specifically to measure the gloss of surfaces that cannot be measured using traditional gloss meters. The ultra-lightweight remote measuring head allows surfaces with curvature to measured.
An additional measuring scale with a resolution 10 times greater than standard gloss meters makes this instrument the perfect choice for very low gloss surfaces. This increased resolution gives a far superior level of control of surface finish. The Novo-Gloss Flex 60 complies to ISO 2813 and ASTM D523 and measurements made with the instrument are compatible with traditional gloss-meters complying to these standards.

Novo-Curve
The Novo-Curve gloss meter is a unique benchtop instrument for accurately measuring the gloss level of curved surfaces and small areas in accordance with ASTM D523.
Cylindrical objects can be measured quickly and repeatibly using the optional jig which facilitates quick sample placement. Irregular objects such as confectionary, fruits, plastic switches and tablets can be measured with the Novo-Curve.
The included footswitch allows for hands-free sample measurement which makes sample placement quick and easy.

Novo-Haze TX
The Rhopoint Novo-Haze TX Transmission Hazemeter offers fast and accurate measurement of the optical quality of plastic films and other transparent materials. Complying to ASTM D1003 (CIE C), the most important standard used in most QA applications, the instrument measures total transmission and haze.
Requiring no additional software to operature the product, an intuitive user-friendly interface minimises the test time and makes it an ideal choice for the QC environment.
At 50% of the price of the market leader for only measuring to this standard (ASTM D1003, CIE C), the Rhopoint Novo-Haze TX represents huge savings without compromising measurement accuracy.

Minimum Film Forming Temperature
MFFT can be described as the lowest temperature at which a latex, emulsion or adhesive will uniformly coalesce when laid on a substrate as a thin film. An accurate MFFT value allows the formulation of products that cure correctly under specified application conditions.
The standard test for determining this temperature involves using a MFFT-BAR (MFFTB), as specified by standards such as ASTM D 2354 and ISO 2115. The design of the Rhopoint instrument is based directly on these standards.
The Rhopoint MFFT can be found in the the research laboratories of most of the world’s leading coating manufacturers.
